23. I HAVE 3 NEW POTS! (But One Smashed😡) and GARDENING 2-3 hours! (Front Garden) - 2 March 2024 (one pot was smashed by some heavy vehicle 😡😡 )

Gardening 

how did it become a hobby?

collected 3 pots today at 8.30am.

then did some catch up gardening for 2hrs, from 9 till 11am+

(not done any gardening for at least 1 month!)

so gonna use my pots for

1. biggest pot, with 1 small hole (turquoise rims) - curry leaf plant

2. big pot, no hole (brown dragon pot) - aidan made a small guppy pond

3. medium pot - cleaned pots and then planted keng hua

and then, did 2-3 hour gardening...

hibiscus

- chopped off hibiscus sprouts and buds 

(called pruning haha)

- pruned the stalks of hibiscus cuttings and stick them into one pot

(cut off buds and huge leaves off the stalk)

new 9 o clock flowers

- transplanted some new 9 o clock flowers 

to the flower bed and another pot

keng hua or queen of the night flowers

- transplanted all my keng hua plants into different pots 

- now the keng hua plants are in 4 difffernt pots! 

will have to think about planting them all together instead

desert rose (the one that kinda died)

- trying to revive the plant and get it to have new growth...

- transplanted the last of mummy's desert rose into the original pot

fertiliser for flower plants

- hibiscus

- 9 o clock flowers

- keng hua

- desert rose

- bougainvilla

aidan's 2 guppies died in the big pot with no hole LOL

and before i could take a pic of the water, weeds and fish in the pot, we had already emptied and cleaned the pot. so no photos of what we did earlier :((((

what should i do with the pot with no hole? 

should i use it to store soap powder? 

hmmm. i'm sure that works but...

UPDATE: Someone BROKE my pot :(((

came back at 7.50pm after work and found my pot smashed.

there's some tire marks.... so angry 😡

perhaps the pot was never meant to be mine :(

pruned the hibiscus, had 7 cuttings

(more like chopped them till botak!)

then added fertilizer - let's see how it will grow in next 10 days

9 o clock flowers - my new pot

it's too crowded so i transplanted them to the flower bed and a new pot

an overview of the front garden...

oh look, the garlic has sprouted!

and the 9 o clock flower bed is thicker and flowering again!

bougainvilla is not flowering but glad it's kinda healthy

added a pot of keng hua outside... 

not sure if i should bring it in, 

don't want anyone to steal my new pot.
