about the hibiscus...

jan - blooms from rainy weather

feb - trim - had some stem cuttings - only 1 survived in march

mar - flowers are small and distorted, so prune till botak

- chopped off hibiscus sprouts and buds 

(called pruning haha)

- pruned the stalks of hibiscus cuttings and stick them into one pot

(cut off buds and huge leaves off the stalk)

total 7 new stem cuttings + 1 older surviving stem cutting

pruned the hibiscus, had 7 cuttings

(more like chopped them till botak!)

then added fertilizer - let's see how it will grow in next 10 days

well, a heat wave came and

all my stem cuttings kinda died :((((

the hot scorching days lasted 3-4 weeks and the plants are struggling. but the mother hibiscus plant managed to grow back really nicely!!

end March saw the hibiscus blooming again! 

flowers started blooming too!
